My works visualize stations in the production, reproduction, viewing and processing of images. I collect related everyday observations in the form of sketches or short descriptions, scour digital databases and books for pre-existing representations, and produce photographic images as possible templates. From this diverse material, I construct images that reflect on routes and nodes of recurring motifs.
My interest in the reproduction of images and how this affects what is represented is reflected in multi-part series of images and in my regular work on publications. In these I experiment with mechanical methods of image making as well as formal aspects of the book medium. I understand paper, canvas and printed matter as regulated but constantly changing spaces in which I can formulate and examine motifs and concepts.
